Provides clerical support for Mental and Behavioral Health clinic. Coordinates appointments, schedules services as ordered by providers and acts as a receptionist and a resource person for the office. Answers general questions related to the scheduling process and clinic services and completes follow-up scheduling as necessary. Answers and appropriately handles all incoming calls to the office. Enters scheduling related data into computer system (Epic) as indicated.

Education

High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).

Experience

Three to six months of related experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children's values and support our mission and vision.

Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families, and team members in a courteous and confidential manner.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Organizational skills necessary to maintain records, coordinate clinic appointments, and prioritize work independently.

Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail using computer scheduling, entering orders, transcribing physician's orders, and arranging patient services.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Normal office environment where there is no reasonable potential for exposure to blood or other high risk body fluids.

Preferred Job Requirements

Ability to type at a minimum of 35 words per minute to complete form letters and data entry preferred.

Prior experience in mental and behavioral health and/or pediatrics strongly preferred.

This job is fully onsite at the Children's Wisconsin Clinics Building.

Schedule is Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30-5:30.
