What You Will Do:


We are seeking a Process Engineering Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of various manufacturing processes and equipment. This hands-on role is key in supporting production in building a high-quality product in a repeatable and cost-effective manner with a First Time Right mentality.

This on-site position is located at our headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. This is a 2nd shift position (3:00pm to 11:30pm). The training for this position will be held on 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm). You will report directly to the Process Engineering Manager.

How You Will Do It:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance on programs and troubleshoot SMT equipment. Equipment can include Solder Paste Printer, Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray, Selective Solder, Aqueous Wash, BGA Rework Station and Automated & Manual Conformal Coating
  • Provide technical support on the production floor as required for critical process and product issues
  • Support in-process quality control systems to ensure product quality
  • Support continuous improvement projects with production personnel
  • Support ongoing product and process improvements to meet quality, continuous improvement, and production goals

What We Look For:

Required:

  • Associate's degree in electronics, engineering, or another related field from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an electromechanical assembly environment
  • Knowledge of SMT and production equipment and processes (i.e. Solder Paste Printer, Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) Pick & Place, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Selective Solder, BGA Rework Station, Automated and Manual Conformal Coat)
  • Experience analyzing and initiating preventative actions of day-to-day circuit card assembly production issues
  • Experience interpreting various forms of manufacturing documentation (i.e., workstations, routings/travelers, time standards, assembly procedures)
  • The ability to communicate and work across the organization to solve complex process problems
  • A U.S. person, due to the continuous and unplanned mix of product types, the technician will be responsible for with varying export control requirements.


Desired:

  • Familiarity with IPC/EIA J-STD-001, IPC-A-610
  • Programming/debugging various Circuit Card Assembly process equipment
  • Experience with IFS, Siemens Unicam FX/MES
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel
