Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall performance of the Froedtert Health system-wide patient flow and the Froedtert System Coordination Center including but not limited to bed placement, patient flow, nursing staffing logistics, access services, patient transfers, patient placement logistics, nurse triage, call centers, and hospital operators. The Director works closely with system hospital and service line leadership to optimize efficient patient care, quality, and patient flow within the Froedtert Health Enterprise. The Director participates with the Senior Medical Director of Access Services and Analytics to develop strategic priorities, oversee program development, define fiscal parameters, set goals and ensure timely problem resolution for external customers.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 5 years of healthcare leadership experience is required. Experience in a variety of clinical settings, including an academic medical center is preferred. Familiarity with the services offered at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin is preferred. Experience in acute care nursing is preferred. Prior experience in Health System patient flow coordination desirable. Prior experience in process improvement and patient safety operations desirable.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Master's Degree in health related field, business, marketing or communications is required. Graduate Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

Ability to address problems creatively; see possibilities in difficult situations. Ability to positively engage, manage, and excel in complex and evolving organizational structure. Effective interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with staff and leadership across organizational lines. Expertise in the use of computer programs including Epic, word, excel and access. Excellent organizational skills, including process/detail focus and a demonstrated ability to drive projects/problem to completion/resolution. Ability to analyze/comprehend data and utilize information to drive outcomes. Excellent internal and external customer services skills.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Nursing license preferred.
