Job Description

IFF Health & Biosciences is looking for a results-driven, motivated process engineer who will provide technical support for a biological process manufacturing facility.

As a Process Engineer based in the Beloit, WI facility you will be part of a team responsible for developing and designing new technologies, scale-up of new products from R&D, capital project support and equipment design. The successful candidate will be an active participant in cross-functional project teams, global supply initiatives, and continuous improvement teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement strategic technology initiatives focusing on cost and capacity savings.
  • Facilitate new product and technology introductions to the plant while interfacing with globalized R&D and manufacturing teams.
  • Work with capital teams focusing on biological process design, including sterile operation and sanitary design for expansion and site capital projects.
  • Drive technical improvements for processes by monitoring and managing critical process performance.
  • Design and develop operations, equipment, process, and methods.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work virtually and connect with engineers globally.
  • Strong cross functional team contributor.
  • Self-starter with good organizational skills.

Associate Engineer:

  • BS in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or related scientific field.
  • 0-2 years process engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates technical competency as part of a project team when presented with problems with a defined scope and impact.
  • Demonstrates ability to actively participate in team and contribute within specific area of expertise.

Engineer I:

  • BS/M.Sc. in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or related scientific field.
  • 2-5 years process engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates competency and the ability to develop value-creating solutions within specific technology areas or applications.
  • Demonstrates ability to actively seek responsibilities on team and influences activities and direction of the team.

Engineer II:

  • BS/M.Sc. in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or related scientific field.
  • 5+ years process engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise and the ability to develop value created solutions within multiple technology areas or applications.
  • Demonstrates ability to define, lead and manage projects of limited size and scope.
  • Actively supports and promotes a collaborative effort with peers, supervisors, and team members locally and globally.
