Position Highlights | The School of Dance at the University of Arizona seeks applicants for a career track Assistant Professor of Practice starting August 1, 2024. A top ranked program at a public university, we welcome applicants from a broad spectrum of dance practices with expertise in at least one of the following genres: Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Ballroom and somatic practices. The successful candidate will lead studio practice and lecture courses and create performance works in their area of specialty. The candidate will contribute to the School of Dance through teaching, creative research and service that contributes to the School, College, and University. The School of Dance fosters a student-centered, inclusive, and diverse learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and conceptual analysis skills. We maintain a unique focus on performance,choreography, and pedagogy to prepare students for professional careers.
