MARS IT Corp. d/b/a MARS Solutions Group has an opening for the position of Software Engineer (Ref# SE830NM) to work in Waukesha, WI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support computer applications software or specialized utility programs including data warehouse / ETL applications, and major enhancements of existing systems. Develop integrated solutions, modernizing, consolidating, and coordinating independently designed applications to meet business needs. Design, build, and load data models using ETL strategies. Develop and architect semantic layers based on specific business needs. Analyze and assess organization's data warehouse capabilities and data requirements. Prepare data for all metadata integrations and draft ETL scripts used for end user reporting needs. Perform root cause analysis on all processes and resolve production issues and validate data. Perform routine tests on databases and provide support to all ETL applications. Perform tests and validate data flows. Prepare ETL processes according to business requirements to incorporate the business needs into process design flow. Perform gap analysis, create technical design documentation, and develop the new code using Informatica PowerCenter. Apply different optimization techniques to enhance performance at various levels which includes SQL tuning, transformation optimization, and auditing. Participate in gathering business requirements for the data warehouse source systems. Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Use GitLab CI/CD pipelines for maintaining source code security and to automate the data deployment process. Write shell scripting code to automate the process of receiving and delivering files across multiple systems. Use of Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), SQL, GitLab, Jenkins, Autosys, JIRA, PL/SQL, Databricks, AWS, Oracle, SQL Server, UNIX, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.

Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years in a related occupation including ETL Developer or related experience. Will accept a Master's degree plus 1 year of experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with ETL, Informatica PowerCenter, and SQL. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
