Job Summary

Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients of all age groups for procedures, assists in sedations and prepares non magnetic contrast media, operates scanner to visualize pathologies. Select appropriate scanning parameters to optimize images obtained and recorded.

Job Requirements

  • Requires knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as acquired through completion of an approved school of radiologic technology.

  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or ARRT.

  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.

  • Must pass MRI sub specialty boards within 24 months of hire.

  • Approximately two years or more of radiology related experience necessary to gain familiarity with MRI procedures, techniques and methods as well as hospital policies and procedures is required.

Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30am-8pm

This position also includes call responsibilities overnight, weekends and holidays.
