Job Description

Ocean Spray is looking for acreative, collaborative, detail-orientedand results driven Quality Technician to work with the operations team (night shift) to ensure that all food quality standards are met, with no exceptions, at our Kenosha, WIfacility.

  • Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • *Calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate all lab equipment
  • * Perform analysis in accordance with our QOS methods and SOP(s), accurately and efficiently
  • * Accurately record and communicate the analytical results
  • * Follow all safety policies and procedures, including laboratory safety and chemical handling
  • * Follow all Good Laboratory Practices (GLP(s)) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP(s))
  • * Perform QA verification of cleaned equipment, and support/assist with sanitation
  • * Perform Positive Release duties and micro testing when required
  • * Perform FM investigations and product holds when required
  • * Perform hand sorting when required
  • * Assist in on-the-job training
  • * Act as the backup for the Quality Technician in their absence
  • * Any other duties as assigned by supervision or management

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in Science related field preferred.
  • 1 - 3 years prior production/manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience.
  • Food/beverage industry experience a plus.
  • Requires good mathematical ability to perform quality related calculations, good analytical skills, and effective interpersonal communication skills to work constructively in a team environment.
  • Requires good computer, Word processing, and email skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to meet deadlines and accomplish tasks accurately while working under pressure.
  • Ability to recognize trends, situations and risks to product quality or food safety, and to timely and properly communicate those findings
