*This is a casual position, 10-15 hours per week max*

Responsibilities

  • Leads the performance and coordination of general, targeted and child-specific recruitment of foster families suitable to meet the needs of children in out-of-home care.
  • Facilitates community presentations; collaborates/coordinates with partner, community and professional organizations to attract and engage prospective foster families; staffs community-based recruitment events; performs direct client contact to educate and guide individual prospective foster families through initial application activities.
  • May work closely with public relations staff, and program leadership. Participates in data collection and reporting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marketing or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Child Welfare, Foster Care Licensing and/or Adoption experience preferred.
  • This position generally involves duties in licensing foster homes, and as such may require the applicant to hold or be eligible for a Social Work license or certificate.
  • Experience working with families of diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds strongly preferred.
  • Strong internal and external verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Public speaking experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills required. WiSACWIS experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, minimum liability insurance coverage and the ability to be insured by the CHHS auto insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
