Job Summary

CULINARY COOK - $20.03/hr, Union Position

? Report to salaried Culinary management team, including Sous Chef(s), Executive Chef, Senior Executive Chef, and any visiting/supporting management.

? Be comfortable handling basic kitchen tools, such as knives.

? Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

? Demonstrate a practical understanding of kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.

? Create and support a team environment.

? Adhere to the City of Milwaukee health department regulations, and ServSafe Food regulations.

? Possess language skills, with an ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating/procedure manuals.

? Possess "basic kitchen" math skills, with an ability to add, subtract, and/or divide in all units of measure.

? Possess reading skills, following recipe guidelines and menu items/builds.

? Possess communication skills, speaking effectively with all levels of team members and management in the organization.

? Possess "basic kitchen" and culinary terminology

? Prepares food in an area of culinary (cold or hot)

? Ensures all product is cooked and served according to recipe specifications and food safety/sanitation practices

? Thoroughly completes all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities

? Performs other related duties as assigned by a Senior Cook, Lead Cook, Culinary Supervisor, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Senior Executive Chef, and any visiting/supporting management.
