The Family and Child Studies (FCS) program in the Department of Individual, Family, and Community Education (IFCE) Department at the UNM College of Education and Human Sciences invites applications for Part-time Instructors to teach undergraduate courses within the FCS program. This posting will remain open and applicants will be selected as needed per
semester.

We are recruiting Part-Time Instructors in FCS who are eligible for all undergraduate classes offered in the FCS course catalogue, with an emphasis on PTI's who can cover undergraduate courses.

The UNM College of Education and Human Sciences is comprised of five academic departments, is a future-oriented, dynamic professional school organized to reflect the following values: Advocacy, Building Professional Identities, Collaboration, Building School/University Partnerships, Diversity and Social Justice, Interdisciplinary Inquiry/Scholarship, and Teaching, Learning and Leadership.

The Family and Child Studies Program within the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of New Mexico offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees. One of the undergraduate concentrations (Early Childhood Multicultural Education - Licensure) provides students with a pre- k to grade 3 teaching license.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned Master's degree in Family and Child Studies, or closely related field, by the appointed start.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Qualified professional who has completed all requirements except the dissertation for the terminal degree or a terminal degree by appointment/or application date with specialization in FCS, or have related doctoral degree.
