Neonatal Intensive Care Unit- Center 7 and West 8

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 69-bed unit designed for the individualized care of critically ill newborns and their families from admission to discharge. These infants are admitted from a diverse geographical area for specialized medical and/ or surgical needs. These infants and families are cared for by a unique blend of interdisciplinary caregivers: neonatal nurses, neonatal nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, human milk technicians, physicians, OT/PT and speech therapists, respiratory care practitioners, social workers, pharmacists, dieticians and internal case managers.

Responsibilities include being a partner in the care management team, providing coordination and management of patient care to pediatric patients and families within a continuum of care and delegating patient activities as appropriate within a care management assignment. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse (or equivalent academic and/or professional experience). A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. NRP certification within 1 year of employment.

Hiring for start date in January and February of 2024

This is a part time weekend program at .6fte (48 hours in a 2 week pay period)

Working EVERY Sat and Sun 12 hour shifts - have day and night options. Orientation will be full time for 4 months and could be on any shift/day based on preceptor assignments. Must be willing to commit long term to working weekend program. Once off orientation will be eligible to earn weekend program bonus

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association, License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin, NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - American Academy of Pediatrics
