Job Description

Gundersen Health Systemisrecruitingfora fellow trained, vitreoretinal surgeontojoin a robust and established practice. The ideal candidate would be interested in surgical and medical retina, complex cataracts and potentially comprehensiveophthalmology.

Shared call is 1:10with ten other board-certified Ophthalmologists on staff.

We are a full-service ophthalmology departmentwithcomprehensive ophthalmologists as well as subspecialists including cornea, glaucoma,retina, pediatrics andoculoplastics.

The Gundersen EyeDepartment provides the latest in technology and equipment.We are a well-established,thrivingand collegial group. Since we provide care to large regionalarea, we see a wide variety of pathology in a diverse and friendly patient population.Salary is guaranteed and very competitive. We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesotaand northeast Iowa. In addition to our eleven ophthalmologists, our professional eye care team includes29optometrists,certifiedophthalmicand optometric technicians, contact lens specialists, low vision personnel, and on-site opticians.

Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program and fellowship training is required for this role. In addition, must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in our multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations. Medical staff may need to provide outreach service as part of their role in the system. Teaching students, residents, fellows or clinical staff is cornerstone to our Medical Education philosophy and an expectation of all medical staff.
