Dynamic Ratings provides condition-based monitoring products and services to the power utility industry, helping them to have better awareness of their high voltage electrical equipment. Condition based monitoring is a way for utilities to improve safety for the workforce, extend the life of their assets, and create awareness of asset life and reliability. Our top priority is to help utilities successfully deploy and manage these condition-based monitoring programs in an industry, fueled by the renewable energy initiatives, that is growing and evolving.
Our growth has resulted in the need for a Senior Linux Software Developer focused on new product development. We are seeking an individual who enjoys solving and implementing technical challenges through the integration of various technologies and platforms. Additionally, this Senior level position will take on technical leadership while mentoring and coaching local teammates. This role will collaborate with our global Linux lead in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Actively write C/C++ in Linux
- Technical lead/mentor for engineers
- Develop and maintain Linux drivers for custom ARM SoC products
- Develop embedded Linux applications and new embedded Linux product designs
- Manage project and project schedules
- Maintain SVN/Git repositories
- Assist/maintain DevOps/Software releases (preferably Jenkins, Buildroot and Yocto)
- Provide Technical Support to Dynamic Ratings' Field Engineers
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Engineering or related field
- Four years experience with embedded systems, Linux kernel and Linux application development and automated build systems
- Proficient in C/C++
- Experience with ARM SoC architecture
- Knowledge of version control tools, such as SVN/Git
- Proven ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
