Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Community Relations Representative is the face of Prominence Medicare Advantage in their market, and responsible for generating local community brand awareness of the health plan with accountabilities in driving leads and sales through grassroots efforts. Responsible for event and community activity marketing strategies to drive sales opportunities in the service area and will assist with the coordination and hosting initiatives for member growth and retention.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, and implement CMS approved marketing strategies for events and community activities to drive sales opportunities for interested eligible candidates in the service area.
  • Helps local market achieve monthly sales goals through collaboration with sales teams and community selling partners in lead development and generation opportunities to achieve monthly sales goals.
  • Develop and implement marketing enrollment events in residential projects, community parks and food distribution sites, targeting the Medicare/Medicaid population locations.
  • Identifies, develops and builds relationships with prominent community leaders and participates in community-sponsored activities to display dedication to our target population
  • Coordinate and host member growth and retention events, alongside current community relations sales team member.
  • Acts as liaison with community advocacy groups that impacts target population.
  • Identify and enlist the cooperation of individuals, groups, social service agencies and other community organizations in educational and outreach activities.
  • Develop new and maintain existing provider and community-based organization relationships.
  • Utilizes CRM platform and internal systems for tracking community interaction and performance of events.
  • Create a monthly calendar of events and provide market reports to local market leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience working with Medicare/Medicaid recipients, and/or coordinating/executing community events.
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare (a thorough understanding of CMS Marketing rules), insurance sales, Medicare products, and client management.
  • Health Producer's license issued by the State of Texas required (must have a valid license within 90 days of employment).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable motor vehicle.
  • Ability to apply state and federal insurance laws and legislation and Prominence business processes to everyday circumstances needed.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Adept public speaking and presentation skills
  • Strong time management, organizational and follow up skills required, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Must be creative, innovative, flexible, enthusiastic, energetic and self-directed.
  • Local travel will be required approximately 75% of the time
