The RF Cell Site Technician installs and maintains cell site radio equipment and microwave links and the associated network interface devices located at cell site tower locations in Cellcom market areas.

**This position is based in Green Bay, WI

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Diagnoses and repairs cell site equipment failures in a timely and professional manner in order to minimize the loss of service to Cellcom customers.

2. Installs cell site radio and network equipment additions and/or upgrades to new and/or existing cell site locations.

3. Tests and/or tunes cell site radio equipment to achieve and maintain industry standards for transmitter and receiver performance and proper cell site operation.

4. Performs periodic on-call maintenance and/or repair to the entire Cellcom network on a rotating basis with other Cellcom cell site technicians.

5. Maintain detailed records of cell site repairs, FCC mandated tower light logs and equipment returned to vendors for factory repair.

6. Utilize computer skills to enter and/or edit online cell site data parameters and tables in the Cellcom switch map platform.

7. Based on experience level, may be required to train and coach new, inexperienced technicians in all aspects of RF cell site management.

8. Assists in trouble shooting the network with network staff.

9. Report/document outages, repair, and return to service with details of instance.

10. Perform other related duties as requested or required

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in electronics (or related field)
  • Two to four years experience working with RF radio communications equipment such as radio, TV, microwave or RF cable systems and test equipment knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license required.
