Project Engineer (Design)

Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Draft & design machine drawings, sketches & blueprints developing accurate designs using Creo
  • Design equipment with usability, efficiency and aesthetics taken into consideration.
  • Revise machine designs according to customers’ specifications.
  • Work Laisse with other departments closely regarding machine specifications, measurements and revisions.
  • Clarify and resolve design discrepancies.
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, and performance of systems.
  • Present designs, samples and final work to customers for evaluation.
  • Prepare cost and material estimates, project schedules and reports.
  • Check design work of other engineering department members including layout, form, fit, function, materials, specification callouts, dimensioning & other outputs as requested
  • Interact with vendors and customers on engineering design prototypes and/or issues
  • Convert AutoCAD DWGs to Creo drawings.
  • Maintain a current understanding of design trends.
  • Complete any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas of Operations, based on business or customer requirements.
  • Work in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years professional engineering experience.
  • Proficient using AutoCAD, Creo/Pro-Engineering
  • Ability to multitask several projects at once, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in working as part of a global team is an advantage

Direct Hire

$75-$90k+ based on experience
