LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED MACHINISTS OR OPERATORS ON  TURRET PUNCH PRESSES AND BRAKE PRESSES TO JOIN OUR WEEKEND SHIFT! Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours!

Position Overview:
Manufacturing Techs serve a key role in Federal’s ability to satisfy the needs of our customers.  Flexibility, productivity, and attention to detail are hallmarks of this position.  Company Associates are expected to approach their work with: pride of workmanship, integrity, and a highly productive work ethic.  
The position requires the ability to lift 50#, stand throughout the shift, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence.   There is required use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with arms.  Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus.   There is regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Actual assignments may include punch press, laser, turret, brake press operation, secondary and robotic welding, tapping, CNC mill, assembly, and other work the production lead sees as appropriate.  Experience in a manufacturing setting, metalworking, blueprint reading, and quality assurance is a plus. Candidates must be able to work with little or no supervision. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task is crucial; manufacturing and ISO 9001:2008 preferred.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong spatial relations
  • Math, reading, and language skills able to effectively utilize company information systems

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Manufacturing experience running stamping presses, press brakes, lasers, and secondary operations
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use a micrometer, scale, and caliper
  • Machine Operation experience (punch press, laser, brake press, tapping, CNC mill, turret, etc.)

Other:
Federal Tool & Engineering, LLC is an alcohol and drug free workplace.  All temporary and permanent new hires are subject to both physical and drug testing.  The potential for overtime is possible and may be mandatory.  Due to production requirements you maybe be required to work flexible hours or work on a different shift.
