Job Description
Prairie States Enterprises, Inc. is a third party administrator, a benefits industry leader, and a trusted advisor to self-insured companies and their employees.  We provide a complete range of medical benefit management services, all performed in-house, and to exacting standards of excellence by our professional staff. 

We are seeking an experienced administrative support professional who is looking to contribute to our client-focused  Account Management Team.  In a supportive role to the Director of Account Management and Account Management Team, the Account Management Assistant is responsible for achieving a high- level customer service to Prairie States clients and their employees as part of their self-funded employee benefit programs.  

This is a full-time position with a hybrid remote work arrangement in our Sheboygan, WI location.  

Highlights of Essential Job Functions:
  • Works with the Account Managers, the Account Management Assistant takes a lead role in coordinating and completing new Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD)s as well as revisions, restatements and amendments.
  • Assists account Managers in implementing strategic decisions that are made during the mid-term and/or for the renewal process. 
  • Assists with coordinating and preparing reports and materials for client meetings and employee enrollment presentations. This includes occasionally writing the materials or pulling information from multiple sources to create them in addition to proof reading final materials for clarity and accuracy and maintaining supplies needed to put together (bind and print) presentations/handouts as needed.
  • Works with Account Management Team and coordinates tracking of new group implementation requirements (internal and external) to ensure information is appropriately distributed to all parties and that deliverable deadlines are met.
  • Maintains accurate client records and documentation using a variety of tools and systems (including but not limited to: shared files, Sales Force, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required (Associates Degree in an Administrative Assistant program or related preferred) with minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role. 
  • Previous experience working with Employee Benefits and Plan Documents or a background in Benefits within HR is preferred.

Required Competencies/Skills:
  • High level administrative support skills, administrative writing skills, analyzing information, reporting skills, managing processes and projects, multi-tasking, problem-solving, detail-oriented and accuracy focuses, and strong sense of urgency and deadline driven. 
  • High Level Customer Service Orientation (All levels – Brokers, HR staff, internal staff) 
  • Computer savvy and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
