Founded in 1905 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, National Presto Industries, Inc is recognized as a leader in the electric housewares industry. With a long history of innovation, we have created major new categories of products. It is the company’s intention to continually provide innovative new products to meet the needs of today’s changing lifestyles, as well as a wide selection of basic appliances which reflect the image of quality long associated with the Presto® name.

In 2017, National Presto introduced Rusoh, Inc., a start-up company in charge of the design, manufacture, marketing and sale of the new line of Rusoh Eliminator portable fire extinguishers. The fire extinguisher uses a CO2 Cartridge which pressurizes the extinguisher only when needed and allows for easy reloading after use to avoid delays and ensure you have a fully charged fire extinguisher available.

In 2019, National Presto Industries, Inc acquired OneEvent Technologies located in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. OneEvent is the maker of OnePrevent, a cloud-based building and home monitoring system that does what other alarm systems cannot: predict, alert, reduce risk and help prevent disasters before they occur.
