Company Overview
Perkins Oil Company was formed in 1962, as a Pennzoil distributor by Chester Perkins and his son Roger. The company was initially located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin on Brearly Street. In 1977 the company moved to a new 15,000 square foot facility on Dempsey Road. In 1985, Perkins Oil Company acquired Independent Oil Company. At this time Perkins added Citgo to our product offering. Perkins acquired McManus Oil in 1991 and became a Shell distributor. Perkins continued to grow and expanded our operations to include a warehouse in Wausau in 1995, which covered central Wisconsin. Perkins Oil acquired Wagner Oil in 1998. Pennzoil acquired Quaker State in 1998 and asked Perkins Oil to become a Quaker State distributor. Perkins Oil continued to grow and moved to a 35,000 square foot facility on Pflaum Road in 1999. In 2001, Perkins Oil Company spun off the Wausau operation and was awarded the Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin marketing area by Pennzoil Quaker State. In 2002, Shell acquired Pennzoil Quaker State and designated Perkins Oil Company as their distributor for the southern half of Wisconsin. Also in 2007 Perkins Oil acquired Transoil of Wisconsin, a Shell distributor, and their location in Sparta, Wisconsin. This increased our marketing area to include northwest Wisconsin and the eastern part of Minnesota. In 2007, Perkins Oil was designated the ConocoPhillips, 76, and Kendall distributor for central and southern Wisconsin and the northern part of Illinois including most of Chicago.

Perkins Oil Company currently distributes Shell, Pennzoil, Quaker State, ConocoPhillips, 76, Kendall, Citgo, Lubriplate, and Service Pro products along with numerous other product offerings.
