ACAP is both people and an idea. The idea is a simple but powerful one, contained in our name: the Adaptive Community Approach. Since 1982, this has been our mission:
We encourage people with disabilities to achieve their highest potential and acquire life-long skills which will enable them to become contributing and valued members within their communities.
We are a part of our community. We are not separated by walls or signs.
Our desire is to simply blend into existing resources and create the image for our community that we, too, belong.
