History
In business since 1935, Independent Printing has grown steadily throughout the years, successfully adapting and evolving in an industry that’s anything but constant.  From a two-person print shop in a De Pere, Wisconsin basement, to a print and communication firm of over 275, things have changed.
 
Philosophy
Actually, the only things that remain unchanged at Independent are the ones that helped us achieve our reputation for excellence in the very first place.  Our commitment to producing quality products, providing value-added services, and sincere interest in helping our customers achieve success are imperative to this day.  As always, we take pride in our consistency of service, quality, and on-time delivery.  From 1935 through today, we do what we say we’ll do.  It’s that simple.
 
“Simple” is by no means a word that describes the print industry today, however.  With the whirlwind of change it’s nearly impossible for everyone to remain current and reap all the benefits of technological advancement.
That’s exactly why Independent is so proactive in this area.  Customers rely on us to recognize trends and adapt new technology; they count on us for creative solutions, and – we don’t disappoint.  Our experts conduct educational seminars and/or on-site training as needed.  We help customers work faster and smarter – every day.
 
About Us
Independent Printing is ranked within the top 160 commercial printing operations* in the nation and the third largest commercial sheet-fed printer in Wisconsin.
 
At present, we maintain an active customer list of over 500 Wisconsin-based and national organizations.  The insurance and paper manufacturing industries have been our largest customers for some time, but these are rounded out by the greeting card/stationery industries, furniture manufacturing, food and food service, health service, transportation, education, financial organizations, and more.
 
We produce quality full-color marketing, promotional and packaging materials, annual reports, brochures, art reprints and more.  Over the years we’ve developed specialty niches which include presentation folders/paperboard binders, packaging, greeting cards/stationery products, business checks and inventory/fulfillment.  We offer Hexachrome, Stochastic, and MetalFX processes.  In-house capabilities include image management, laminating, foil-stamping, embossing, die-cutting, mailing, inventory/fulfillment services and more.  In addition, we promote awareness of environmentally responsible choices via our FSC certification, renewable energy/NatureWise affiliation and more.
 
We are known by our customers as a highly-respected, award-winning printer.  Our service excellence and highly-trained staff, in combination with our state-of-the-art electronic prepress and print technologies have earned multiple honors on regional, national, and even international levels.
 
Company Specifics
Independent Printing’s main facility is located at 1801 Lawrence Drive in the De Pere Industrial Park.  Since breaking ground on the building in 1985, we’ve completed four expansions to our office and production facilities, totaling 123,000 sq. ft.  In November 2002, a secondary 30,000-sq.-ft. fulfillment and call center facility was established in Wausau, Wisconsin to best serve our central Wisconsin customers.
 
Independent is owned by the Independent Management Team members and Bradford Equities Management, L.L.C.
