Overview

Inotiv has an opening for a research associate I, will conduct laboratory experiments on research projects within well-defined guidelines; collect, prepare, and analyze specimens (or animal subjects), evaluate results of (response to) process; summarize and analyze data, this position is will also, be part of lab service's in vitro biomanufacturing team.

Responsibilities
    Maintain the highest standards of animal care and welfare for laboratory rodents.
  • Inoculation, drug administration, and tissue collection or biological samples from animals using sterile techniques.
  • Perform clinical observation and collect data according to protocols.
  • Use sterile technique to propagate cell lines for in vitro and in vivo platforms.
  • Strict adherence to Inotiv/ Envigo BPS Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Use various software applications; spreadsheets, relational databases, and graphic packages to analyze/format data.
  • Communicate with the Supervisor potential or occurrence of any deviation from established procedures or routines.
  • Ensure proper condition of rooms and equipment according to Bioproducts guidelines.
  • Maintain routine supplies at adequate levels.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Sciences and 1-3 years of in vitro and in vivo processes is required.
  • Experience working specifically in a clinical or research and development laboratory or biomanufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with tumor measurement is preferred.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to work as part of the Lab Service's team to communicate results and troubleshoot
  • Must be able to perform mathematical calculations required for cell culture and impacted areas.
  • Must be available for weekend work and overtime as needed.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and organize laboratory workload.
  • Willing to undergo continued training to gain new skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 LBS on a regular basis.

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
