We currently have a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Central region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in a regional area. Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region. 

The preferred location for this role is Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Telecommunications Installer (Level II) will work under the direct supervision and instruction of a Level III or IV technician.  The level II technician will work on the addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working DC power equipment as well as energized DC power equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Addition or removal of telecommunication equipment hardware
  • Addition or removal of wiring and connections
  • On-time completion and quality of the installation project
  • Support job package administration including weekly tool inventory and creation of daily timesheet  
  • Responsible for inventory and staging of equipment and materials, weekly status report to supervisor, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Assist Level IV & III Technicians with Lead verification (voltage), adding or removing batteries, adding or removing common systems equipment hardware
  • Comply with all EHS and regulatory guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two years of experience in electrical or telecommunication installation activities
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • Ability and willingness to travel 75% of the time
  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts (swing shifts)

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries

  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold
