Position Summary, Requirements, and Qualifications
Overview | The School of Theatre and Dance is dedicated to creating a welcoming and collaborative work environment. We believe that people are the university’s greatest resource and invest in them by providing access to information and training, as well as support services. With six-degree programs, the School of Theatre and Dance requires year-round recruitment. The School of Theatre and Dance operates as an academic department as well as a performing arts center, producing a total of eight mainstage and studio performances annually. The Admissions Counselor will steward relationships with teachers, students and families from a variety of communities and backgrounds. The recruiter will serve as the primary contact for a prospective student entering NIU as a theatre or dance major. |

Position Summary | The primary role of the Admissions Counselor is to oversee strategic planning and coordination of recruiting activities, and school admissions. This individual will collaborate with faculty to plan attendance for recruitment fairs/festivals, prepare orientation materials, and handle public relations/alumni outreach in coordination with the CVPA Director of Marketing and Communication. |
