Title: Maintenance Mechanic - 1st shift

Location: Milwaukee, WI

Hire Type: Direct hire - 1st shift

Job Summary:

To ensure the company's production equipment is in functional and safe running condition with preventive maintenance methods as well as direct repair methods.

1st shift full-time, plus plenty of opportunity for overtime

Job Duties:

  • * Ensure the established preventive maintenance schedule is followed.

    * Repair production equipment in a safe and timely manner.

    * Properly and safely oversee daily maintenance operations.

    * Follow all required LOTO and Confined Space requirements. Other safety requirements may apply determined by the needed repair.

    * Aid in the supervision of floor safety personnel assisting in maintenance procedures.

    * Know the company quality, safety and environmental system requirements.

    * Report any safety, equipment or product issues to the Manager as soon as possible.

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    * Ability to follow written instructions.

    * Ability to follow production schedules.

    * Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

    * Ability to properly operate the equipment as intended.

    * Know all related safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • * Mechanical aptitude.

    * Able to understand electrical diagrams.

    * Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.

    * Able to understand mechanical diagrams.

    * Able to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.

    * Must be able to meet essential physical requirements of this position.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    * Welding.

    * Pipe fitting.

    * Mechanical assembly work.

    * Knowledge of impregnation equipment and how to repair.

    COMPENSATION

    $28 - 32 per hour, depending on experience, plus the benefits described below

    When you become benefits-eligible (on the 1st of the month following 60 days of full-time employment):

    -Company pays $95 benefit dollars each pay period so you can buy your benefits:

    -Family health insurance premium is $95 per pay period, single is $75

    -Family dental insurance premium is $7 per pay period, single is $0

    -Family vision insurance premium is $11.07 per pay period, single is $3.82

    -Short-term disability insurance provided at no cost to you

    -Long-term disability insurance provided at no cost to you

    -Life insurance with $15,000 benefit provided at no cost to you

    -Voya 401k with 4% employer match when you contribute at least 5%

    -Paid holidays

    -Paid vacation time and personal time off as described in the handbook
