The C4ISR Operation at Leidos currently has an opening for a Test Engineer to work in our Reston, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force establish and maintain the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS). ABMS is a top modernization priority for the DAF and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense. That broader effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control. As envisioned, JADC2 will allow U.S. forces from all services - as well as allies and partners - to sense, make sense and act upon a vast array of data and information faster than adversaries can detect and respond.

Ability to work in Northern Virginia is preferred. Candidate working from remote locations will also be considered.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. Duties include defining and specifying the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of the ABMS components and systems.

  • Interface with Air Force, Industry (including University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs), Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs), Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS)), and other Consortium Members to ensure Consortium requirements and operational objectives are met

  • Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of Consortium Objectives

  • Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews

  • Manage and coordinate test activities

  • Document and review test plans and procedures

  • Support maintenance and operations of integrations labs

  • Contribute to the risk management process

Basic Qualifications

  • DoD Secret clearance; ability to obtain DoD TS/SCI

  • Masters with 15-20 years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate with 13-16 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Prior C4ISR program experience including working group and/or IPT experience

  • Understanding of Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR systems integration in the context ABMS requirements and AF platforms and systems

  • Experience testing Digital Infrastructure and C4ISR systems and components

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working on ABMS or JADC2 initiatives

Clearance Required

  • Requires Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain U.S. DoD TS/SCI security clearance

Pay Range:Pay Range $124,800.00 - $192,000.00 - $259,200.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
