Job Description:

CoreLogic is expanding our research department and is looking for a Senior Construction Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team! In this role you will be responsible for aggregating, calculating and compiling construction cost data for the creation of detailed estimates of Residential, Commercial and Agricultural structures. The estimates will be at all levels, from basic material and labor combinations to complete structures. You will be a steward of the data created and the databases in which it resides.

The Senior Construction Cost Estimator role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, plus a passion for researching and developing construction estimates. To succeed in the role you'll leverage your experience in the construction industry, preferably including supervision of estimating and construction procedures, and your understanding of multiple types of construction and varying occupancy and building code requirements. You will use your knowledge and experience to coordinate with product management and the construction cost team to power our customer solutions with optimized data.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

  • Researching, collecting and analyzing material and installation costs for residential, commercial, and agricultural applications

  • Providing the results of your research in written responses to clients, internal and external

  • Providing detailed construction estimates on projects that may range from simple installed materials to complete systems. Examples of recent projects include calculating the cost to install custom cabinets in a designer kitchen, researching and estimating the cost to build a commercial parking structure with solar roof panels and estimating the cost to build a milking parlor on a dairy farm. These costs include variations required by regional building codes for climate, wind and seismic conditions.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent or Bachelor's degree in construction management, architectural design, engineering, or related field

  • Working experience (5+ years) in a construction related industry.

  • Restoration or mitigation industry experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Fluency in construction terminology.

  • Strong analytical skill and familiarity with mathematical formulas used in construction estimating

  • Ability to quickly grasp and communicate complex information

  • Ability to create consensus around new ideas and initiatives, building confidence in the outcome

  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for problem-solving

  • Eagerness to operate in a fast-paced, client-centric, collaborative culture

The anticipated salary range for this position is $82,200 - $90,000/year. Additional benefits can be found here: Qualifications and experience of the individual ultimately selected for the position may impact the final actual offered compensation, which may vary from this range.
