Job Description

Microchip Technology, Inc is looking for a Material Compliance Engineer to join our growing team. This position requires an individual who has solid understanding of environmental compliance regulations with the ability to apply this experience evaluating current and new Microchip products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Microchip's disclosures related to Product Material Compliance, Responsible Mineral Sourcing, and Sustainability
  • Conduct due diligence product and supply-chain reviews in support of PMC disclosure activities and auditing processes by utilizing various data sources (internal systems, external supply chain as well as third-party service providers)
  • Respond to internal and external customer requests for material compliance information (conduct data analysis and create material declarations)
  • Research and communicate material compliance requirements and industry best practices for current and new products
  • Contribute to review and enhancement of policies and processes to ensure product compliance
  • Prepare and maintain custom reports and interactive dashboards
  • Maintain records to support safety and compliance
  • Support external data verification
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degreein Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Scienceor Environmental Engineering; Masters Degree a plus
  • Exceptional knowledge of global environmental compliance directives, regulations, and standards, including EU ROHS, WEEE, REACH, WFD (SCIP), PROP 65, and conflict minerals
  • 0 - 2.5years of experience in Product Material Compliance
  • 0 - 2.5 years of experience in Semiconductor Industry
  • Ability to work within all levels of organization to ensure compliance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint

Salary Range: $57,330 - $89,847
