Job Overview:

The Assistant Vice President of Branch Exams Data Analyticswill be a member of the Branch Exams department within LPL's Compliance, Legal, and Risk organization. The Branch Exams Data Analytics team is responsible for leading efforts that enable data-driven decision-making throughout the department. The vision of the Branch Exams Data Analytics team is to deliver data-driven insights to drive growth, scalability, and enhance the client experience throughout the Branch Exams department.

This position will lead the Branch Exams Data Analytics team and ensure the execution of critical priorities. This role requires the ability to analyze data, provide insights and recommendations from the data, create and deliver executive presentations, and effectively manage of a team of data analysts.This AVP will be responsible for working with stakeholders throughout the department to ensure alignment of priorities and completion of tactical efforts and workstreams, as well as ensure progress toward program OKRs. Additionally, there will be consistent engagement with the team's leadership to develop the resource allocation plan for analytical and research-based projects, orient the team priorities, and support broader management needs via ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders across the firm, and serve as a liaison between various Branch Exams functions, such as Quality Control, Training, Traveling Teams, and Escalations

  • Develop executive-level presentations, as well as lead and participate in executive-level meetings

  • Completes ad-hoc assignments that assist in the development and implementation of strategies and new processes

  • Thrives in a team atmosphere, as well as independently, and has the confidence to adjust and adapt as priorities change

  • Ability to lead individual projects or workstreams that span across multiple business units

  • Effectively manage team of data analysts

  • Develop strong working relationships across the enterprise to enable a clearly defined mutual understanding of risks and opportunities while also achieving close alignment on business needs

  • Leverage these self-cultivated relationships, business acumen, and confidence to indirectly lead others, drive for results and ensure business goals and objectives are met in a timely, efficient, and risk-conscious way

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM discipline or Business Administration, is required; Master's degree preferred

  • Financial Services industry experience a plus

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in an analytics function

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint expertise necessary

  • Expertise working with Tableau

  • Experience developing data-driven roadmaps

  • Experience managing quantitative team members/analysts preferred

  • Experience presenting analytics and actionable insights to Senior Leaders

  • Experience working with Technology teams to provide business requirements as they pertain to data and reporting
