Job Purpose: Data analyst responsible for supporting design, collection and analysis activities related to survey preparation, deployment, administration, participation, data collection and use of survey software platforms and programs to accurately collect, analyze, compile and publish survey reports or research. Includes compensation, benefits, business trends, custom business research and other surveys as may be assigned. Survey Data Analyst I generally works under direction of the Survey Lead (based on specific survey or project) and works collaboratively with other Survey team members. Responsibilities also include customer service, assisting MRA members with data submission, survey inquiries, job matching questions, and occasionally interpreting survey results or referring to compensation team professionals. Job duties vary from time to time, depending on the flow of business.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to survey processes with guidance and direction from Survey Lead. This includes though is not limited to:

  • Data collection: monitor participation and keep Survey Lead and team informed; use appropriate method of communication to boost survey participation; field routine questions regarding survey completion;
  • Setting up and programming questionnaire, survey invitations and reminders; use appropriate method and mass email system as needed;
  • For compensation, benefits, trend, custom and internal surveys:

    Contribute to survey processes with guidance and direction from Survey Lead. This includes though is not limited to:

    • Data collection: monitor participation and keep Survey Lead and team informed; use appropriate method of communication to boost survey participation; field routine questions regarding survey completion.
    • Setting up and programming questionnaire, survey invitations and reminders; use appropriate method and mass email system as needed;
    • Data cleaning and verification while survey is being conducted and after survey closes; contact participants as needed.
    • Analysis and manipulation of data in survey system, platform or program with guidance/direction; download and manipulate data to create master files (typical surveys contain thousands or hundreds of thousands of lines of data).
    • Collaborate with team on current and future projects and department goals; document processes, issues, risks, lessons learned, etc. and contribute to process improvement recommendations.
  • Assist with routine member/customer service for survey-related questions for those seeking assistance to input, submit or access survey information, including requests via phone, Salesforce, and email.
  • Collaborate with Survey Project Lead/s and Surveys and Graphics Specialist to contribute to survey publications, website and other related projects or updates, Survey Ambassador or other resource kit/s and processes, etc. by gathering, creating, recording or otherwise producing materials for review and/or finalization.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma, or equivalent, plus completion of two years of college or graduation from a two-year technical college with an associate's degree.

Training or Experience: Over 1 year to 3 years in the following areas:

  • Absolute attention to detail for accuracy of data, data analytics, infographics, survey reports and other related collateral.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn unique survey software systems, platforms or programs (PeriscopeIQ, Qualtrics, or other). Good written and verbal communication and organizational skills, project management, organizational and time management skills.

Any other special requirements necessary to do the job: Valid driver's license
