Job Description
CLIENT ASSOCIATION: Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC)
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Online Education (SITC)
DIRECT REPORTS: None
STATUS: Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for detailed management and implementation of select society projects and initiatives, with an emphasis on online education. Includes all aspects of the project from beginning to end, including development of project scopes with volunteer leaders, determining availability of resources, interfacing with appropriate collaborative groups, sourcing vendors, managing project budgets, monitoring timelines, and adhering to applicable guidelines in order to ensure timely delivery of quality end products.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate and moderate educational webinars by managing the production timelines, working with subject matter experts, running the online webinar software, collecting and analyzing attendee feedback and demographics
  • Manage online courses and other online educational programs as assigned, including development of concept proposals, communication with subject matter experts, developing budgets, setting timelines, collecting paperwork from subject matter experts, and analyzing the success of programs
  • Serve as the staff liaison and provide support to all steering committees and content-expert task forces related to management of assigned programs, including scheduling conference calls, developing agendas and materials, taking minutes and serving as a resource to volunteer members
  • Monitor budgets as well as provide appropriate tracking and trending reports in areas of responsibility
  • With direction from the Senior Manager of Online Education, the Associate Director of Online and Clinician Education and the Director of Education, maintain compliance with any relevant accreditation guidelines through the application of appropriate design, methodology and assessment models (ACCME, PhRMA, etc.)
  • Work with the Senior Manager of Online Education, the Associate Director of Online and Clinician Education, the Director of Education and Communications department to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and determine appropriate promotional outlets to bolster project visibility both to the target audiences as well as the society’s stakeholders
  • Ensure that timely and accurate information is on the society website pertaining to special projects and other areas of responsibility
  • Work with designated leaders to develop and manage other short-term and long-term special projects as they arise
  • Maintain all needed files and systems to track and report on project status, educational outcomes measurements and overall project success
  • Source needed external vendors, as needed, and work with internal support services to facilitate the project completion
  • Ensure content consistency and quality through the use of best practices, templates and resources
  • Working with the Development Department, provide project information for grant submission, reporting and reconciliation needs
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
  • Experience working within one or more database systems
  • Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with program development and adult learning principles preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills
  • Must meet deadlines and have an acute attention to detail and high accuracy on outputs
  • Ability to work independently but also with teams, both internally and externally

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Travel of up to 2 weeks per year
  • Some evening and weekend work as needed
  • Occasional lifting, up to 50 pounds
*This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and dedicated weekly days in the office are a requirement of the role.
