Job Description

Job Summary


This position will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating efforts to define requirements, work processes, and outputs for hardware and/or software implementations. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for working with business units to gather requirements, make recommendations, and convey finalized plans to Engineers and/or Developers. The IT Project Manager may then be tasked with managing said projects. This individual must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently according to tight deadlines.

  • Creating long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources
  • Delegating project tasks to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of projects
  • Assisting in the definition of project scope and goals
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout implementation to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needed
  • Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time
  • Create communications suitable for presentation to ELT

This position description is intended to cover the most significant, ongoing job functions and competency areas.  Successful performance in the role will require performing satisfactorily other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience Requirements
 
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related curriculum required along with a minimum of (5) years’ experience in Information Technology
  • PMI Certification required



Physical Requirements

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

The worker must be able to access, analyze and otherwise work with, enter information stored in or obtained through the company's computer system, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and third parties who have business dealings with the Company's operations.  

Travel Requirements

Little to no travel is anticipated with this position
