The Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor manages the daily activities, safety and performance of product audit and casting inspection employees. The person in this position ensures all Neenah Foundry Quality procedures are followed and assists in the development of methods and work instructions required to produce castings that meet customer specifications. The QA Supervisor works to resolve audit / inspection questions quickly and enforces compliance to customer requirements while supervising the testing of designated parts by use of both destructive and non-destructive methods such as saw cutting, ultrasonic, hardness, velocity and magnetic particle testing.

Train and direct product audit and casting inspection employees in the areas of product audit and inspection procedures, non-conforming product handling and disposition, job instruction procedures, WIP / IPI ticket processing, and workforce management system transactions..
Perform daily audits of the audit and inspection operations, paint line and finished goods warehouse to ensure specific customer and process requirements are adhered to.
Ensure designated Safe Launch Process castings are processed and inspected to the requirements identified on the casting’s safe launch plan form.
Ensure castings designated for Metrology measurement are delivered to the layout lab in a timely manner and in the designated quantity.
Ensures job specific instruction sheets are created and maintained and that changes to job instructions are communicated to employees.
Proactively create a safer work environment by completing safety walks, attending supervisor safety meetings and holding effective weekly safety meetings with direct reports.
Properly record disposition of suspect, scrap and transferred castings to maintain the accuracy of WIP inventory.
Supervise, train and direct the work of employees in the product audit and inspection functions.
Assist the Quality Assurance General Supervisor in the preparation of materials and information to be discussed during the daily sample meeting.
Working with the Quality Assurance General Supervisor, communicate specific customer requirements to product audit and casting inspection employees by providing customer feedback in the form of photos, rejected castings, machined castings, etc.
Maintain product quality by enforcing compliance to Neenah Foundry quality assurance policies, procedures, and all customer specifications.
Assist in any area of the operation when and if required where his/her work experience or knowledge will help accomplish the objectives of the organization.
Assist in the resolution of non-conformities identified in all Quality Assurance processes from internal and /or external audits.
Assist in the maintenance of the established calibration and testing program and assure employee compliance with associated procedures.

Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a manufacturing related field required along with previous work experience in Quality Assurance with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Completion of Training Within Industry (TWI), 10 hour Trainer instruction (offered post hire).
Physical Requirements

Little to no travel is anticipated with this position
