Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Watch for irregular or unusual global conditions that may be cause for security concerns or safety hazards affecting client facilities, employees, and travelers
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct video reviews
  • Assist in any other roles or projects as specified and assigned by appropriate G4S and client management
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist in any other roles or projects as specified and assigned by appropriate G4S and client management
  • Monitor incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, hazardous materials, inclement weather, workplace violence and other security related incidents or conditions following procedures established for the site, by the company, and /or through training or certifications

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing Private Security License
  • Must have a valid state driver's license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • 2 years of experience as a civilian or military law enforcement officer, Corrections Officer, Federal Law Enforcement Agent, or security officer in a hospital, educational or corporate setting
    • Graduate of a recognized police training academy

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have access to reliable transportation
  • Must be able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Must be self-driven and possess strong problem solving skills
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected

Major activity: Working on a PC while sitting, speaking, and listening

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching
