As a HSE Student for our project located on the Big Island of Hawai'i, you will contribute to our team by:

• Assisting the site HSE professional with inspections and incident investigations.
• Assisting with the orientation of new employees.
• Managing and reviewing relevant safety documents according company and project standard.
• Monitoring and maintaining the project's environmental program.
• Gathering, reviewing, and distributing safety-related statistical information.

What you will bring to the role:

• Desire to pursue a career in construction safety.
• Ability to implement HSE program elements and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to assist in planning and employing preventative measures that reduce the risk of exposure to hazards.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong willingness to learn.

Working Conditions:

• Work will be performed in a jobsite office/field setting on an active construction site with frequent walking of project site.
• There may be exposure to inclement weather, various construction equipment, excessive noise, dust, dangerous substances, and excessive heights.
