The Durr Group operates in the market with five divisions:Paint and Final Assembly Systems: paint shops and final assembly systems for the automotive industryApplication Technology: robot technologies for the automatic application of paint as well as sealants and adhesives Measuring and Process Systems: balancing and cleaning systems as well as testing and filling technologyClean Technology Systems: exhaust-air purification systems and energy-efficiency technologyWoodworking Machinery and Systems: machinery for the woodworkingLocation: De Pere, WIPosition Summary: This position manages the Durr CTS Americas Mechanical Design Team across two locations, with a focus on engineered-to-order pollution control and solvent recovery equipment. The Mechanical Design Manager will drive industry best practice product data management processes and the application of Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Lead a multi-site, mechanical design team to execute projects for a diverse customer base and product portfolio.Work with Product Managers and design resources to maintain product line standard models.Support the implementation of a Product Data Management System.Collaborate internationally to share and develop best practices as part of a global company.Identify process improvement opportunities to shorten lead times and reduce error rates.Establish and maintain project schedules for completing mechanical drawing releases to manufacturing.Provide design oversight and checking of critical assemblies using DFMA principals.Coordinate the utilization of design resources within the Durr Engineering Center in Pune, India.Serve as a primary contact for the Project Management, Manufacturing, and Installation teams to ensure design issues are driven to root cause and countermeasures implemented.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree with 5+ years engineering experience.Proven track record as a leader.Experience with sheet metal, welding and manufacturing processes.Significant experience with 2D and 3D software.Expert knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
