Join us._ **Position Summary:** This position reports to the Manager of Engine Thermodynamics & Calibration. As an Autonomous Vessel Calibration Engineer in the Engine Thermodynamics & Calibration group you will be responsible for delivering vessel calibrations to support the production of new autonomous products. This requires continuous cross functional involvement with all design and development functions within R&D. Major tasks where a candidate is expected to excel are listed below. Secondary job responsibilities would be to support thermodynamic development of engine families. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** * Lead vessel calibration development activities for autonomous vessel. * Lead company efforts for developing new software strategies for new Mercury products in autonomous operation * Construct and execute comprehensive engine test/development plans involving coordination of cross functional resources. * Drive new calibration development and validation methodologies resulting in reduced calibration times and improved accuracy. * Document your development work in the form of detailed summaries and technical reports. * Employ disciplined methods for root cause failure determination and corrective action. * Mentor and help train less experienced engineers and technicians **Basic Qualifications:** * BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering * 3-5 years' experience in engine or vehicle calibration * Overall understanding of engines and engine systems * Experience with engine control or vehicle control software and development * Analytical approach to problem solving * Working knowledge of P/C spreadsheet, database, and word processing software packages * Good organizational skills * Proven experience in driving root cause failure process * Proven experience driving new or current product development assignments to completion * Works well in cross functional teams **Preferred Qualifications:** * MS degree in Mechanical Engineering * 5-8+ years of experience * Experience as a calibration engineer or lead calibration engineer on engines or vehicle systems * Experience with autonomous systems and calibration _We are the people behind life's passions._ _Brunswick does not accept applications, inquiries or solicitations from unapproved staffing agencies or vendors.
