Job Description
ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County and performs a wide variety of clinical tests. Our Lab services operate out of state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, and nursing home facilities. Our Medical Director, a member of the Great Lakes Pathology group, oversees the Laboratory and works closely with leaders and employees to monitor quality, identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Joint Commission (JCAHO), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). Hours: This Coordinator position will be 50% on the bench, covering phlebotomy, staffing, training, etc. and day to day departmental needs at OMH. Position will be located at OMH and a liaisons to our other sites -WMH, DNG and PWK per workload and staffing needs. Various start and end times alternating between 1st and second shifts. Two holidays per year, if needed. Weekend for coverage, if needed per department needs. Experience needed, hit the ground running. Full Time / Part Time: Full Time Benefits FTE: 1.00 What You Will Do: Accountable for overseeing and monitoring the daily operations of the Client Support Services and / or Phlebotomy Departments of ProHealth Care Laboratories. This includes client services, specimen processing, nursing home phlebotomy, inpatient phlebotomy, send-outs, microbiology set-ups, and courier services. This role coordinates, assesses and adjusts workflow, develops and maintains schedule, serves as a resource to staff, and assists in addressing customer concerns. Must have the ability to work at various PHC Lab locations as needed. This position requires a weekend on-call rotation in order to meet minimum staffing for the department in the event of a staff call-in, late arrival, early departure, etc. Requirements: * ASCP or NCA certified as a Phlebotomist, Medical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician or equivalent or eligible. * High School Diploma or equivalent * Two years of relevant experience preferred #LI-KH * CA ProHealth Care has been the health care leader in Waukesha County and surrounding areas for the past century, providing outstanding care across a full spectrum of services.
