The Rogers Institutional Review Board (IRB) Coordinator ensures the rights and welfare of the research participants are protected while leading the quality review of human subject's research through the Rogers IRB. The IRB coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Rogers IRB fully complies with institutional, state, and federal regulations and guidance regarding human subjects protection. The IRB coordinator ensures that active research proposals are thoroughly reviewed by appropriate IRB representation, that patient consent and privacy is strictly respected and that research risks are managed appropriately by investigators. The IRB coordinator is responsible for collecting and preparing study documentation for IRB committee review and ensuring that investigators provide complete and timely documentation. The IRB Coordinator is knowledgeable about federal guidelines and organization policies regarding human subject's research and institutional review boards, makes recommendations for exempt, expedited or full review requirements, and serves as a subject matter expert for investigators on the policies and procedures of the IRB, as well as taking the lead on developing and maintaining IRB policies and procedures.

Required Skills
* Prior IRB experience in independent IRB or an academic institution, either as an IRB administrator, reviewer, or experienced investigator or study staff
* Certification as an IRB Professional (CIP) preferred. Willingness to take and pass the exam within first year of employment if not certified.
Required Experience
* Bachelor's degree in biomedical, health science, social sciences or related field is required;
* A minimum of 1-2 years of experience directly related to human subject research or 2-4 years of experience in a related area required. Knowledge of the federal regulations and guidelines that govern the conduct of research involving human subjects, including 45 CFR 46 and 21 CFR 50 and 56.
