PURPOSE
· Build patterns, core boxes, core masks, etc. according to the instructions provided.
· Maintain patterns, core boxes, core masks, fixtures, manipulators, etc.
· Make pattern boards and plates, and other “stock” parts to be used in building tooling.
· Make and install gating on patterns.
· Patch or repair pattern, core boxes, etc.

General knowledge of foundry operations particularly as they relate to the success of patterns, core boxes, fixtures, and manipulators produced. Successful completion of an Apprenticeship Program as specified by the Company is required or must have worked in a pattern shop a minimum of 5 years and have the abilities to perform the essential functions listed below.
Candidates must possess a general knowledge of the safe operation of woodworking and metalworking machinery, and be able to work a minimum of eight (8) hours per day, and Saturdays if needed. Occasional overtime is to be expected.

Working under the direction of the Pattern Shop Manager/Supervisor, and in accordance with general Pattern Shop procedures and practices, and Neenah Foundry Safety Procedures, the incumbent will:
Shift:
1st shift: 6:00 - 2:00 (Plus Saturdays as scheduled)
2nd shift: 2:00 – 10:00 (Plus Saturdays as scheduled)
It is understood that Journeyman Patternmaker employees may perform any, and all work within the skill levels of the job, as represented by the above duties, and that Patternmakers will be used to perform duties requiring Journeyman Patternmaker skills.
