GENERAL SUMMARY:

Bremer Bank is seeking a Senior Regional President (SRP), an outstanding senior-level banking role with the overall responsibility to provide leadership and direction of broad-based banking activities throughout the Wisconsin region. This position requires a unique background, banking expertise, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The SRP will directly oversee commercial and agriculture banking activities with market leadership of teams supporting the delivery of solutions and products including treasury management, consumer banking, wealth management, mortgage, lending, brokerage, and insurance. With nearly $1 billion in assets and over $1 billion in deposits, the WI market is critical to Bremer's continued strong financial performance and growth. The ideal candidate not only possesses the ability to manage the current business within existing markets, but also help identify and execute on opportunities for additional growth across the WI marketplace.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Vision and Leadership. Incorporating organization strategic objectives, assists with the development of broad-based initiatives within the WI marketplace. Develop effective strategies and goals to meet organizational and regional objectives, including market expansion efforts.
  • Business Performance. Fosters a culture of strong business performance and achieves strategic and financial objectives. Accountable for providing leadership in business development, market management/leadership, financial management, operations, and administration.
  • Partnership and Collaboration. Promotes effective collaboration and strong working partnerships with other business units across Bremer Bank (i.e., Wealth, Trust, Mortgage, and Insurance), with accountability for revenue generation within region.
  • Strong Credit Risk Identification and Mitigation. Actively participates in the process of identifying and managing risk while embracing strategies to increase long-term profitability through effective credit analysis, loan structure design, and pricing.
  • Relationship Management. Demonstrate leadership in the execution of effective Relationship Management initiatives that support the development and enhancement of a sales culture based on value-added customer service delivery.
  • Community Involvement. Actively engaged and visible in the community as a representative of Bremer in various community/public organizations. Establish relationships in the community and promote Bremer Bank within the marketplace.
  • Business Development. Identify and establish new customer opportunities and expand existing relationships by providing guidance that drives mutually beneficial and lasting customer relationships.
  • Change Management. Possesses the energy and sense of urgency to develop and drive organizational change, and the entrepreneurial spirit to challenge and lead the organization to high-performance levels.
  • Talent Leader. Identifies growth opportunities and recruits, develops, engages, and retains a high performing and diverse team. Must have outstanding managerial and coaching skills and a track record of leading highly engaged and highly performing teams. Fosters an environment that encourages open discussions and healthy debate of ideas.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance/accounting, business, or related field from an accredited college/university or a combination of education and years of experience in the banking industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of work experience, ideally at a bank/financial services company and a track record of leading banking teams with a proven ability to work effectively across functional units.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of business, banking/financial services and products, and related industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and an ability to drive a positive organizational culture, leading teams toward higher levels of performance.
  • Proven track record of identifying, attracting, and developing high-performing talent.
  • Strong commitment and adherence to high ethical standards that align with Bremer's culture, policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both federal and state tax laws relating to our areas of banking.
  • Ability to address complex issues and use of appropriate communication strategies to influence wide and diverse audiences.

  • Willingness to travel within the Wisconsin Region (minimum 30%).
