Join our team and start your journey today.Description Under the direction of aShift Manager, this position will oversee the manufacturing operations within an assigned department. This includes supervising the manufacturing employees and day-to-day production needs within the department, assisting other production departments and working with groups implementing projects and programs targeted at improving the manufacturing operations. The successful incumbent will motivate employees with a strong, positive attitude and work with or lead problem solving teams. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate work assignments based on skills, knowledge, experience, staffing, and equipment to exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets. Create and maintain a work environment that promotes employee engagement and continuous improvement, where all employees are treated fairly and consistently. Collaborate with cross-functional support teams to ensure execution of production priorities to include machine maintenance, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance. Analyze manufacturing problems. Recommend changes to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Enforce company policies, safety rules and regulations. Meet with manufacturing employees to interpret the policies and help resolve individual issues. Be physically present on the floor as defined by Leader Standard Work. Ensure assigned employees receive required training on company production processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures or services. Monitor and enforce adherence to work instructions for all workstations. Support Senior Supervisor in conducting communication meetings including start of shift communication meetings, and shift-to-shift handoff meetings. Support Senior Supervisor in preparing required paperwork including safety records, attendance, vacation schedules, scrap reports, and quality reports. Prepare periodic production reports as required. Maintain a clean and safe work area to decrease potential safety hazards with emphasis on 5S+1 principles. Perform all other duties as assigned. Additional Information Must move throughout manufacturing plant, including exposure to noise, heat and moving machinery. Must be able to work any shift.Requirements HS Diploma with 0-3 years supervisory experience or Bachelor's Degree in lieu of supervisory experience. Requires the ability to analyze and interpret data. Must be able to handle numerous responsibilities at once. Must be computer literate. Work AuthorizationNo calls or agencies please.
