Job Description
Overview

Location: Snap-on Tools, 2801 80th Street, Kenosha, WI 53143

Position Summary:First level in a progressive series of three positions in the product promotions group, and has a low level of dollars, projects, scope, and leadership involved. Work in specified areas to assist and support the planning, development, design, and implementation of promotions to ensure sales and profit objectives are met. Some accountabilities for parts of projects. Some latitude for unreviewed actions, but decisions with major impacts on results are reviewed at a higher level. Much of the work involves coordination and is supportive in nature to facilitate decisions made at higher levels. Position is responsible for making some recommendations relative to assigned tasks to broaden skill and knowledge base and to contribute to end results.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks:

  • Learn from and support product planning and promotions team, including promotions specialist IIs and IIIs in the performance of duties
  • Coordinate parts of projects and assignments as directed by supervisor or senior specialists
  • Work with vendors on pricing and coordination for delivery of samples and promotional items
  • New product or promotion idea generation--may participate with teams to generate ideas for product offerings
  • Assist with development of product or promotion plan, and also with plans for implementation
  • Create presentation slides to summarize potential promotions and programs
  • Assist with and support product promotions for kick-off meetings and SFC
  • Coordinate samples for Kickoff and SFC
  • Assist with maintaining BA product listing
  • Other related duties as required
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 1-3 years of Snap-on experience preferred
  • 0-3 years of product, promotion, or marketing experience in related industries
  • Some understanding of business operations
  • Some understanding of engineering design factors, manufacturing capabilities, product planning, promotions, packaging, pricing, marketing, distribution and sales
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Team player skillscan work independently or within a team environment
  • Self-starter
  • Strong organization skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office
