We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical.The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for the design and analysis of new products and components for new and existing marine products. This role will also be responsible for the management of engineering projects for new products that may include the integration of new ideas or technologies conceived by Twin Disc entities. The qualified candidate will have experience in the design and application of marine products, specifically marine gearboxes for diesel engine and electric motor applications.Requirements: Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with 8+ years' experience in the design of components and analysis, or an equivalent degree and experience Highly skilled in Microsoft Project and in solving complex engineering problems using a variety of tools Proficient in the use of 3-d modeling, Finite Element Analysis, and Product Lifecycle Management Skilled in the areas of gearing, clutches, bearing selection, hydraulic systems and materials processes Knowledgeable in torsional and vibration analysis, application of heat treat methods for shafting and gearing, casting methodologies for iron and aluminum, and forging technologies for gearing Ability to convert product specifications into an engineering project design plan; highly skilled in project management Ability to analyze and solve problems appropriately, and to perform root cause analysis for product issues Strong interpersonal relationship skills and listening skills that allow the ability to work with people in all levels of the organization and with external customersThe deadline to apply is February 19, 2021 or until a qualified candidate is hired.The deadline to submit a resume is February 15, 2021 or until a qualified candidate is selected.Twin Disc Incorporated is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, genetic information, gender, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
