Position Location - Office will be located at our American Blvd facility in De Pere, WI or Bond Street, Green Bay, WI

Reporting Relationship - Reports to Sr Vice President of Global Technology and Product Development.

Job Overview This position will be responsible for executing the nonwoven product development for FyterTech for continued rapid growth. Products will include existing products lines in spill control applications as well as medical, filtration and wipes products. Activities will range from ideation and concept development, through commercialization with the focus on the material properties and product requirements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute plans, activities and trials that support the advancement of the of the strategic growth areas of the company through the development of new products within existing product lines as well as developing product lines.
  • Lead technical aspects on assigned projects through the product development process as key R&D representative, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Consumer Insights, Regulatory, Legal and Operations
  • Work independently to coordinate required technical testing and experiments in support of assigned projects and report/share results and findings to key project stakeholders.
  • Actively lead and manage product development activities from concept development through commercialization including managing regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct economic and business case analyses of manufacturing costs, capital requirements, price realization and margin opportunities to develop recommendations on proposed new products.
  • Serve as a change agent to challenge existing processes in place. Use data to communicate and support the opportunities that exist.
  • Stay current in emerging technologies and innovative practices.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements for Success:

  • Some experience in manufacturing preferred; knowledge in converting, nonwovens, hot melt adhesives, filtration media, wipes sorbents, polymer recycling.
  • Willing to get dirty on the plant floor as this is not a desk job; great opportunity for someone who likes to be directly involved from concept through trial development to final commercialization and optimization.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Travel Business travel is required to successfully meet the positions expectations. Estimated travel is 30-40% but will vary depending on specific projects.

Education Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering (Chemistry, Material Science, Textiles or related fields)

Required Experience 5-10+ years of experience in a work area related to nonwovens product development with preferred experience in industrial sorbents, filtration media, wipes
