Employee Type:Full timeLocation:WI KenoshaJob Type:Production OperationsJob Posting Title:Production SupervisorJob Description:Job Summary: Supervise, train and motivate employees and work teams to meet quality standards, production goals, efficiencies and customer satisfaction. Will provide leadership for assigned shift in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, cost, and equipment. Engages all employees in continuous improvement and fosters a positive work environment while developing a culture of ownership and accountability.Essential Duties and responsibilities: Assign work, analyze productivity, workflow, methods and procedures, making recommendations to management as appropriateEnforce all company policies and plant rules, to include but not limited to problem solving, development & implementation of standard operating procedures.Examine production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Responsible for recognizing, reporting and troubleshooting food safety and/or quality issues.Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs set up and adjustments as needed.Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety and GMP regulations.Administer discipline, corrective action and coaching as needed.Guides, coaches and develops employees in a worker-friendly team environment that rewards performance with respect and trust.Confers with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of production requirements/staffing needs.Communicate written and oral instructions to work team.Direct Line/Department supervision and work flow analysisConfirm production and evaluate downtime (SAP/CDC/DPR)Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (List all required):Communicate with all levels of management and subordinates using both verbal and written formats.Able to work effectively with others, have good interpersonal and leadership skillsExcellent communication & facilitation skills.Ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization.Self motivated.Ability to establish project and prioritiesAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work a flexible scheduleSkills, Experience and Education: Bachelor Degree preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience supervising employees.Prior experience in food manufacturing environment.Proficient use of computer programs and software, including MS OfficeSAP experiencedMinimum Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
