Job Overview:

Omni Channel Order Manager

Results-oriented individual to manage global Omni Channel order fulfillment for Clinical Trials. Responsible for generating reports, metrics, and working with key internal stakeholders across different organizations. This role is part of the Supply Chain organization for LabCorp Drug Development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a creative critical thinker with an innate curiosity and desire to continually learning. You must be an effective steward of your tools and team, leader, and communicator. Must be able to work independently and generate quality work against aggressive deadlines in a collaborative, and ambiguous environment. You must be able to communicate appropriately and effectively with people at every level.

The Manager is responsible for supporting the Distributed Order Management (DOM) Administrator, manage work order administration, business rule creation, and Third Party Logistics (3PLs) order fulfilment and shipping. The Manager will provide internal client consultation, business rule development, and maintenance of the Master Data Management (MDM), troubleshooting, and monitor 3PL fulfillment connectivity.

The manager will directly manage (1 -3) technical people and 3PLs supporting Supply Chain requirements across the enterprise.

  • Omni channel Order ManagementManage strategic initiatives using the DOM and associated systems to support assigned business units.
  • Monitor daily workorder activity through the DOM to assigned fulfillment location.
  • Resolve error messages preventing work from assigning.
  • Demonstrate strong English communication skills appropriate to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Anticipate, develop and implement contingency plans for all Covance Fulfillment and 3PLs.

Technology & Client Support

  • Maintain systems accuracy used for workorder fulfillment and Global Study Management
  • Continuously seek ways to optimize information and communication
  • Maintain supply item knowledge, supplier base and support client focused solutions
  • Pro-actively participate in internal process improvement projects to lower cost or improve operational efficiency.
  • Interface with customers (internal and external) to ensure customer needs are understood and addressed.
  • Provide analysis and evaluation support documents and systems with collection supply information, as required.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with key distribution vendors and internal customers.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year degree in Business, Supply Chain or the Life Sciences
Experience:

  • The position requires analytical skills and demonstrated organizational and planning across multiple business units.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Minimum of a four (4) year degree in IT, Business, or the Life Sciences.
  • Five (5) years of Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience with maintenance and enhancing.

Preferred

  • A related advanced degree.
  • C.P.M. or ASAP Certification.
  • At least five (5) years of customer service experience preferred.
