The maintenance planner supports the maintenance efforts through job planning, parts procurement and resource allocation. The position is responsible for providing a safe operating environment by planning installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment and utility systems. The Maintenance Planner works with Maintenance Management to schedule maintenance programs and processes for the production facility to minimize impact on production.

Create and maintain work order requests
Maintain evolving preventative maintenance documentation based on crew feedback, OEM documentation and historical trends
Track equipment condition and performance.
Perform downtime analysis
Track department performance (safety, PM completion rate, work order backlog, etc.)
Create parts requisitions
Maintain “where used” data base for stocked items
Develop and maintain “critical parts” inventory
Facilitate downtime work coordination meetings
Post and distribute downtime work plans for maintenance and production management
Serve as parts expeditor, coordinating activities with maintenance, purchasing, vendors and stockroom
Provide reports as requested by maintenance managers
Manage active spare parts inventory, removing obsolete items from stock.
Participate in weekend maintenance supervisor rotation
Ensure parts are available for scheduled work activities and staged for access prior to project start date
Supervise plant janitorial staff
Coordinates contractor activities, including safety documentation

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and develop trust among team members
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, as well as industrial maintenance and electrical concepts
Ability to identify and define problems through data collection and draw logical conclusions based off this information

Education and Experience Requirements
High School diploma or GED, along with minimum five (5) years’ experience in an industrial maintenance or industrial electrical environment required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field highly desired
Ten (10) years' previous experience in an industrial maintenance or industrial electrical environment preferred
Previous experience with automated time and attendance or employee labor scheduling system a strong plus
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
The worker must be able to access, analyze and otherwise work with, enter information stored in or obtained through the company's computer system, and to communicate effectively with co-workers and third parties who have business dealings with the Company's Human Resources operations.
Travel Requirements
Up to 5%.
